Governors Island - a former Army Base and then Coast Guard Station Governors Island is now a park and is open every Saturday, Sunday and Holiday Monday (Memorial Day and Labor Day) from May 26-September 30.

Long Island Paddle Day 3

Day three done! Hanging at Robert Moses State Park

Very windy on the top of fire island lighthouse!

Can't hear a darned thing I say.

Why am I doing this?

Why do I do these challenging paddle events for charity?

I am doing this to show,

*Weight loss is not about losing ANYTHING.

*It is about giving yourself the opportunity to get smaller and LIVE BIGGER!

*I am doing this to show that an ordinary person like me can go from a 410 pound couch potato to a man capable of losing an 200 pounds and then doing extraordinary things.

*I am doing this to show that you, yes YOU, can lose weight and live BIG too.

*Weight loss is not about the newest diet pill, or plan, miracle berry or super food. It's about actively living a big, audacious and remarkable life.

Since I lost 200 pounds, my life has gotten so much bigger! I can do amazing things and I have had some awesome experiences! Then one day I realized that every time I lost weight in the past (and there were plenty false starts), I gained it back because I did not grow my life. The final piece of the "Lose Weight for Good!" puzzle was slowly and steadily growing my life. Simply visiting the edges of my comfort zone and pushing a little bit got me to this incredible life and it can get you to YOUR INCREDIBLE LIFE as well!

How can you live bigger? By updating your brain's operating system.

Remember your thoughts lead to emotions which lead to actions which lead to the results of your life.

If you don't like your results, re-engineer your thoughts!!
